Chelsea scout Piet de Visser believes that Brazilian teenage sensation David Neres will be a success following his move to Dutch giant Ajax FC.

The former Sao Paulo player made the move to join elite players in the Eredivisie from Brazil in January for €15 million.

De Visser said he noticed the incredible talent during a scouting trio last year and adds that the youngster has the potential to succeed at his new club.

“I saw David Neres last year excel in the Copa Sao Paulo with Ajax scout Hans van ser Zee. He is sometimes a bit erratic and will have to get used to the Dutch league, but the potential is definitely there. He has a lot of growth opportunities,” the Blues scout said.

The Eredivisie giant paid a record fee to a foreign club for the highly rated player. It is a record fee in Dutch football since the move of Mateja Kezman from Partizan to PSV Eindhoven almost two decades back. Continue reading “DE VISSER BELIEVES NERES WILL SUCCEED AT AJAX”

Tim Krul Rushed Himself from Injury, Claims Ajax Manager

Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul’s career appears to have come to a grinding halt, and it is a major surprise considering that he was regarded as one of the best goalkeepers playing outside the top teams not too long ago.

The problem for the Dutch goalkeeper started when he suffered a cruciate ligament injury in 2015. This type of an injury almost forces a player to go on the sidelines for almost 12 months. Aware of the intense competition at Newcastle, Krul appears to have worked extremely hard on returning much sooner than expected. This did not go as planned, and manager Rafa Benitez has sent the goalkeeper out on loan to Ajax in order to help him get back to the former levels.

The loan move to the Dutch club has not worked out, as Krul is behind second choice goalkeeper Andre Onanain the pecking order. Krul was expected to replace Jasper Cillessen, but he is now having to spend much of that time on the sidelines waiting for the first-team opportunity.
